Four Proofs Why Bible is God's Revelation to Mankind

In this article, I am going to show you four objective proofs why Bible is without any doubt God’s revelation to mankind. Now before I get into that. If you are new to this website, please subscribe at the bottom of this page so that you will be notified for any content similar to this one.

So why do we study the Bible? Well, because it is the Word of God. How do we know that? That is why I am going to show you today the four proofs that convince me and hopefully they also convince you.

Proof No. 1: Bible Is Not The Work of Human

How can you say that? people wrote it, didn’t they? True, that is correct, but the interesting thing about Bible is that there are 66 books and roughly 40 authors. Among those authors, some are kings, some are second-in-command next to king, some are priests. We even have some that are shepherds, fishermen, tax collectors, and doctors. You can imagine that some of these people are very educated while others are not. What makes things even more amazing is that these authors did not come from the same generation. The writing time of these books spans a time frame of close to 1600 years, and the writing places of these books spanned as far west as the Roman prison all the way eastward towards Persian king palace.  It is safe to say that many of these authors don’t know one another as they could be hundreds of years apart in very different geographic locations, and yet the messages they wrote in their respective books are not only very consistent, they also offer important bits and pieces of information to the whole picture. It almost seemed like there is an invisible author beyond the constraint of time and space directing and connecting this whole puzzle together. Now I will give you an example. There are many places in the Old Testament that talked about the life of our Lord Jesus Christ:

2000 years before his birth, Book of Genesis foretold he would be born of the family of Abraham. 900 years before his birth, Book of Psalms said Jesus would die on the cross. 700 years ahead the event, Book of Isaiah foretold Jesus would come from the line of King David, and that he would be born from a virgin in a small village named Bethlehem and someone would betray him for 30 pieces of silver.

We see that each of these books offer consistent, non-contradictory bits and pieces of information to an event that hadn’t happened at the time of writing. And we knew from history, it played out exactly as these prophets described down to the details. This also leads to my next proof.

Proof No. 2: Bible Foretold The History

History is supposed to be about something after it happens, but for the Bible, that is actually backwards. Events were foretold hundreds and even thousands of years before it happens and then played out over time 100 percent exactly as they were prophesized. This is why the Bible says,

I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe” – John 14:29

There will always doubters and haters. I have heard some even argue that these events can be acted out purposely to fulfill the prophecy. Really? That’s the best argument they can come up with? Sure, go try to act out having a mother who is a virgin, or try to act out dying on the cross and resurrect three days later. Come on, haters. You can do better than that.

To be more specific, there are about 1800 prophecies in the Bible. About 80 to 85 percent of them were in regard to the nation of Israel, the first coming of Jesus Christ, and cross-nation empires such as Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Macedonia, and Roman. Those have been fulfilled 100 percent as prophesized in the Bible. The remaining 15 to 20 percent has to do with the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and they are currently being fulfilled. The period before the second coming of Jesus is the end time.

Besides Almighty God being its chief author, how in the world can the Bible foretell things hundred and thousands of years in advance. Yes on paper, these books of the Bible may have human authors, but these authors didn’t write down their own thoughts and knowledge. They wrote down what God revealed to them, many of which they don’t even understand. They simply obeyed and put down what God showed them. We know Peter and John were fishermen. They were fishing when Jesus called them to follow him. We know they are good at catching fish, but they surely aren’t scholar type of people that can write books. Guess what, they also wrote several books of the Bible that have been studied over the two thousand years by all the highly educated scholars from the whole world. Do they physically pen down the writing? I believe so. But Is it all their own knowledge? Highly unlikely. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Almighty God is behind all these. That is why the Bible says,

“All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” – 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Proof No. 3: Bible Is Never Outdated

After Apostle John finished writing the last book of the New Testament around Ninety A.D., there has not been any changes to the Bible as Almighty God prohibited it in the very last page of Revelation:

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book” – Revelation 22:18-19

In a fast-changing world where our textbooks today can have several new editions in a matter of a few years, the writing of the Bible finished close to two thousand years ago and stays unchanged all these time and guess what, it remains as the most popular and the best-selling book of all-time now that we are in the 21st century. It has been studied by scholars from all over the world: Historians, Archaeologists, Linguists, and many different disciplines of scientists. It has reportedly been translated into 698 languages and sold over 6 billion plus copies and beat the second place by a large margin. Could it be a pure coincidence that this quote and quote old and outdated book is still the most popular book today? Or could this simply be an indication that this book is the truth from our Almighty God? At the end of the day, the choice is yours to decide what you want to believe. God gave us freewill to make choices, but we also get to live with the outcomes and consequences of our choices.

Proof No. 4: The Message In The Bible Is Revealed To Us Through The Entire History Of Israel Spanning Thousands of Years

Unlike other religions where the teachings are based on someone’s own theory, understanding, overnight vision, and testimony which can be quite subjective as there is no way to verify whether that is really true, Bible’s teaching about the fall of man and God’s salvation plan to restore it via Jesus Christ is completely evident in the history. All the events in the Bible, whether it is Jewish Exodus from Egypt, Babylonian Captivity, Birth of Jesus Christ, Crucifixion by Roman Empire, or Resurrection, are all well-proven historical events. Almighty God uses a nation as the living testimony to show the world who he really is, what his teachings really are, and what we need to do to follow Him. God bless Israel and God bless those who believe in Jesus.

So we have discussed here four proofs why I believe beyond any reasonable doubts that Bible is indeed the Word of God. If you have any questions, comments, remarks, rebukes whatever, please leave them down in the comments section.
